This session will be taken by Ms. Gretel de Paepe, CISA, ACL Certified Trainer.
Internal (IT) Audit has the responsibility to - identify the indicators that fraud may have
been committed, - be alert to opportunities that could allow fraud and - evaluate the
need for additional investigation, and notify the appropriate authorities. As per the
ACFE's Report to the nation 2008, (only) 19.4 % of Fraud cases are initially detected by
Internal Audit. She will explore how the built-in Benford’s test can be applied to a
company's data to search for indicators/fingerprints of possible fraud." |
