| Central Bank Of Oman Requires a “ Senior Information Technology Auditor “

Applications are invited for the post of Senior IT Auditor for the Internal Audit Department of Central Bank of Oman (CBO).
Key Duties & Tasks:
- Performing IT audits as per the annual audit plan approved by Audit Committee to ensure that risks and controls have been identified and correctly assessed.
- Working as an audit team and ensuring audits progress as planned, as regards scope, budget and timetable.
- Continuing to update awareness of IT risk issues and changes across relevant business areas and using this knowledge to set strategy and direction for IT Audits.
- Promote and incorporate the use of CAATs and other automated tools into integrated audits to improve fieldwork efficiency and depth of coverage.
- Providing guidance to Audit staff on IT issues during their assignments.
Required Qualification & Experience:
- The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Computers or any other recognised equivalent professional auditing or accounting & finance qualifications
- The Candidate should have minimum Certified Information and Systems Auditors (CISA) certification and hands on experience of using CAAT.
- Certifications like CIA, CISSP or CEH will be an added advantage
- Prior experience of about 5-10 years of working as Information Systems Auditor with an emphasis in systems and workflow analysis in Financial services industry along with excellent understanding of databases
- Candidate should be fully conversant with the risk based IT audit concept and have worked in an environment, where best practices are implemented
- Excellent understanding of application architecture and risks associated with complex financial systems with identification of weaknesses.
- Deep Understanding of the control, regulatory and risk issues in IT infrastructure security, Treasury, Credit and Finance.
- Broad IT security/control experience of various OS and databases.
Appointments will be on contractual basis, renewable yearly. Salary and other emoluments will depend on qualification, experience and accomplishment of the candidate.
