Muscat, Oman Chapter Board Election Process 2010
The tenure of the current Board of Directors comes to an end
and a new board needs to be elected at the Annual General
Meeting.
The new Board will takeover the chapter activities from the
existing Board. We are pleased to announce that the Annual
Members’ Meeting will be held (tentatively) on February 07, 2010 at 7 pm (Date and venue to be confirmed),
in which the new Board will be elected and installed. Detailed
programme will be sent to you in due course. Please make a note
in your calendar regarding this important chapter meeting and
attend it without fail.

Note: The above specific roles and responsibilities are in addition to those stated for each position in the Chapter Bye-Laws Section 3 of Article V
Eligibility Requirements:

All active members are eligible to send
nominations
-
For the position of President, the
nominee should hold any one of the 3 ISACA certifi cations (not just passed exam but
certified)- Either CISA (or) CISM (or) CGEIT certified.

Nominees for the positions of Director CISA certification should be CISA certified, Director CISM certification should be CISM certified and the Director CGEIT certification should be CGEIT certified.
One cannot hold the same position for more than two consecutive years, i.e. those who held the same
position for the years 2008 and 2009 are not eligible to contest
for the same position for 2010. However, they can send
their nominations for other posts.
Last date for
submitting nominations: Sunday, 31 Jan 2010 before 5:00 pm
Last date for withdrawing nominations: Wednesday, 03 Feb 2010 before 5.00
pm
If more than one nomination is received for
any post, election will be held by secret ballot during the
meeting. By clicking on any of the above position you will be
informed of the nominations received and approved to date for that position
together with a brief profile of the candidate for the position.
We request members to come forward and send
their nominations to participate in the progress of the Chapter.
